The Town Engineer\u2019s office maintains a copy of the inventory of this drainage infrastructure in the Town. This inventory is being updated. If you want to view the current data, please contact the Town Engineering Department or the respective district.<br \/>\n<strong>Fire Wells Inventory<\/strong> \u2013 The Town is served with fire protection water wells with a use of a fire pump truck. The fire well is generally six inches in diameter. These fire wells are inspected annually by the Fire Marshal. Public Works staff will determine if the guardrail is owned by the Town or by a private owner, and will notify the property owner.<\/p>\n<h3>Road &amp; Traffic Signs Maintenance<\/h3>\n<p>The upkeep of the Town\u2019s roadway, traffic signs and drainage facilities is contracted. Public Works staff oversees the work of the contractor.<\/p>\n<h3>Public or Private Roads<\/h3>\n<p>Most of the streets within our Town are public roads; however, there are a great number of private roads.<br \/>\nTo determine if your road is a public or private road or in need of maintenance, Contact: <a href=\"mailto:publicworks@southwestranches.org\">publicworks@southwestranches.org<\/a> or <a href=\"tel:+19543437441\">954-343-7441<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Traffic Control and Street Name Signs<\/h3>\n<p>Stop signs, yield signs, street name signs, etc. are managed by the Town of Southwest Ranches. A traffic signal light devise on a County maintained road is operated by the Broward County Traffic Engineering. The goal of the Southwest Ranches Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program is to promote neighborhood \u201clivability\u201d by lessening the negative impacts of traffic in our rural Ranches.<\/p>\n<p>Section 18-19 of the Town Code of Ordinances provides guidance on traffic calming.
